Lipo on Inner Thighs and Hips for Male Patient in his 20s

Patient's Profile

Mr V is a slim young man in his early 20s. He had previously lost a significant amount of weight through dieting and exercise.

Background

Mr V is an active man who is concerned about excess fat on his inner thighs, which causes discomfort and friction while doing activities like running. He also feels self-conscious about having more fat around his outer thighs compared to other men. Despite his efforts to lose weight and target these specific areas through spot reduction workouts, he has seen no improvement.

Consultation and Assessment

During the clinical assessment, it was evident that Mr V had disproportionate fat layers on his upper and inner thighs, outer thighs, and lower hip areas. This distribution made him appear broader and heavier in these regions, resembling a physique more typical of females. This atypical body shape significantly impacted his self-confidence, leading to anxiety and low self-esteem.

Despite his substantial weight loss over the past few years, the stubborn fat on his hips and thighs remained resistant to diet and exercise. Furthermore, the drastic weight loss resulted in noticeable stretch marks and loose skin in the affected areas.

The Treatment Plan

To address Mr V’s concerns, a targeted fat reduction and body sculpting treatment using Vaser Liposuction was proposed. This technique is particularly effective for male patients, as thigh fat tends to be more fibrous and difficult to remove.  The surgery is carried out in an accredited day surgery centre, where he is under twilight sedation and cared for by a team of experienced surgical personnel and an anaesthesiologist.

Vaser Liposuction and 4D Liposculpture

  1. Fat Removal: Vaser Liposuction uses ultrasonic energy to break down fat tissues, making it ideal for tackling Mr V’s fibrous thigh fat.
  2. Multi-dimensional Sculpting: This technique involves removing fat from deep to superficial layers, allowing multi-dimensional sculpting to highlight and enhance optimal thigh shape and musculature.
  3. Skin Tightening: The procedure also stimulates collagen regeneration and tightening post-surgery, addressing Mr V’s loose skin.

The primary objective was to achieve natural-looking, aesthetically pleasing shapes and contours that suit Mr V’s condition and physique.

Post-Op Recovery & Results

Mr V’s post-operative recovery was smooth. He experienced some soreness and swelling, typical after liposuction, but these symptoms gradually subsided. The surgical team provided detailed post-op care instructions, including wearing compression garments to aid healing and skin tightening.

Over the following weeks, he noticed a significant improvement in the contour of his thighs and hips. The friction and discomfort he previously experienced during sports activities were significantly reduced. The procedure enhanced his physical appearance and boosted his self-confidence.
