• Avoid excessive sun exposure for approximately one to two weeks before your treatment.
• Wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen of at least SPF 30 to protect your skin.
• If you are spray-tanned, please exfoliate to help remove the tanning product in the treatment area.
• If you have a history of cold sores, be sure the doctor is notified before scheduling your treatment. The doctor will prescribe an oral antiviral medication before your treatment.
• Stop applying “irritating” skin products at least one day before treatment. These include acidic-based products.
• Arrive on time for your treatment with clean skin. Female patients should not wear makeup/mascara, lotions, powders or perfumes on or around the treated areas.
• Male patients can shave the morning of their treatment but should not apply lotions or aftershave on or around the treated areas.
• Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes and shoes.

• After your treatment, your skin may be cooled to calm the sunburn sensation and redness.
• Some patients might experience swelling for a few days if they undergo aggressive treatment.
• After calming the skin, a moisturising sunscreen should be applied.
  Continue using a moisturising sunscreen as directed by your doctor after the treatment.
• Do not apply any forms of acidic serums, gels or foam on the treatment area.

Research indicates that an optimal course typically consists of three sessions. Unlike traditional needling, which necessitates 10 to 12 sessions for noticeable improvement, RF needling yields results after 2 to 4 sessions, depending on the skin concern.

Maintenance sessions every 6 to 12 months can further sustain the benefits, with skin tightening progressing over six months following each procedure.

Some may feel some pain with this treatment, similar to snapping the skin with a rubber band. Stinging discomfort may occur after the procedure and throughout the healing process.

Some tissue swelling may occur after the procedure and should likely resolve after 1 to 2 weeks.

There may be some short-term effects, including reddening, irritated raised rash, mild burning, swelling, bruising, numbing, temporary pigmentary change, blistering, scabbing, crusting, flaking, and sensitivity to the sun. Although these effects typically resolve within several days, they may persist for several weeks and, rarely, even longer.

During pregnancy, areas of increased pigmentation frequently appear spontaneously. For this reason, microneedling therapy is not recommended during pregnancy.

The treatment may cause some pinpoint bleeding, without any lasting effect and disappear in one to two weeks. You may also scab, but fret not; the scabbing will disappear during the natural wound-healing process of the skin. Take good care of your wounds to prevent infections or scarring. Stay out of the sun, and be gentle when washing your face.
