Beer belly combines visceral and subcutaneous fat so there may be surgical limitations. Work closely with your doctor for the best male abdomen lipo result.

Table of Contents

Contrary to popular belief, a beer belly is not solely caused by beer or alcohol consumption.

Research showed that men who drink 1000 ml of beer a day have a 17% higher chance of gaining waist circumference compared to those who drink very little. Reducing beer intake may increase the chances of losing waist circumference, but this finding isn't statistically significant [1].

While beer belly is commonly used to describe a man's protruding abdomen, it often results from an unhealthy lifestyle and the natural process of ageing [2].

As not all instances of beer belly in men stem from the same causes, there isn't a one-size-fits-all solution to eliminate it through natural means or non-invasive methods.

In fact, belly fat can be particularly resistant to diet and exercise.

Why beer belly is hard to remove and how male abdomen lipo is more than just fat removal

Why Is A Beer Belly In Men Hard To Get Rid Of?

For men, a waist measurement over 40 inches indicates a beer belly, which carries a higher risk of health issues.

One reason a beer belly is so stubborn and difficult to lose is that it is classified as active fat, also known as visceral fat, bad fat, or toxic fat [3].

This type of fat releases hormones that can increase the risk of serious health problems and hinder the body's ability to lose weight in the midsection [4].

As a result, losing belly fat often requires significant effort, especially as one gets older.

Men tend to develop larger bellies as they age due to decreased muscle mass and increased fat [5].

After age 30, hormone levels begin to decline, leading to changes in fat distribution and greater accumulation of fat around the waist [6].

During midlife, the relationship between hormones and belly size causes fat to accumulate in the midsection more quickly than in other areas of the body [7].

From Beer Belly To Flat Tummy with Abdomen Liposuction

Since a beer belly is a combination of visceral and subcutaneous fat, it’s important to acknowledge that there may be surgical limitations.

To achieve the best and most realistic results, it is essential to work closely with your doctor.

For example, if your doctor recommends a plan to reduce your visceral fat or your BMI before your liposuction, it is important to take heed.
