Patient's Profile

Mdm M. H., 67, an active retiree, leads a healthy and active lifestyle. She is a vegetarian, non-smoker, and doesn't drink alcohol. Her daily activities include Taichi, volunteer work, and occasionally helping to look after her grandchildren.

Background

At 67, Mdm M.H. noticed obvious signs of ageing in the form of loose skin under her eyes and prominent eye bags. Despite her active lifestyle, dark undereye shadows and sagging skin left her self-conscious, especially when her friends highlighted that she looked tired and "lifeless."

On a friend's recommendation, she consulted Dr Ivan Puah for this bothersome issue.

Consultation & Assessment

Dr Puah carefully assessed Mdm M. H.'s clinical condition during the consultation. He explained that eye bags are a natural part of ageing as the tissues supporting the eyes weaken, causing fat pockets under the eyes to bulge. Mdm M.H.'s main concern was the sagging undereye skin and shadowing, contributing to her tired appearance.

Treatment Plan

Dr Puah recommended treating her concerns with radiofrequency microneedling as an effective, minimally-invasive eye bag reduction solution.

SD Micro-cannula Eye Bag Radiofrequency Treatment

SD micro-cannula eye bag radiofrequency treatment is a minimally invasive technique that uses a small puncture to deliver monopolar radiofrequency energy to the fat beneath the eyes, breaking it down through a process called lipolysis and allowing the body to clear the fat through the lymphatic system.

This microcannula technique is particularly advantageous for undereye skin issues as the blunt tip reduces the risks of bruising and requires fewer puncture holes than other methods. The patient can recover faster.

Tightening Loose Undereye Skin with RF Microneedling & Erbium Glass Laser

Dr Puah used RadioFrequency (RF) Microneedling & Erbium Glass Laser to tighten and rejuvenate the loose undereye skin and enhance the results. Combining RF microneedling with non-ablative laser treatment promotes collagen production and maximises the skin tightening effects, leaving the undereye area firmer and more youthful.

Post-Treatment Care

Following the treatment, Mdm M. H. received detailed instructions on post-treatment care to optimise results and promote healing.

Results: Rejuvenated Eyes with Minimal Downtime

During the last review three months post-treatment, Mdm M.H. was happy to see that her loose undereye skin condition has improved. SD micro-cannula eye bag radiofrequency treatment reduced her eye bags. RF Microneedling & Erbium Glass Laser also tightened the skin, reducing the undereye shadows that had bothered her.
