3D Face Define treatment involves the use of volumising hyaluronic acid dermal fillers. This is injected into the skin to lift, enhance and add volume to the upper, mid and lower face. Ideal for those who are looking to tweak or correct minor imperfections; 3D Face Define treatment focuses on the philosophy of “three triangles of beautification”.
The Face is divided into the upper, mid and lower parts. The “three triangles of beautification” is in reference to the cheek beautification triangle, jawline lift and contour triangle, and lower face and chin-shaping triangle.
Different areas require different approaches, such as in the decision to use a syringe or cannula. The “three triangles of beautification” is, therefore, a template of safe points as a guide for a doctor enabling him to address a concern more efficiently.
Cheek Beautification Triangle
• Cheek volume, zygoma definition
• Lateral tear troughs/dark circles
• Periorbital lines
Jawline Lift & Contour Triangle
• Jawline contour
• Jowls
• Marionette Lines
Lower Face & Chin Shaping Triangle
• Nasolabial folds
• Chin shape
• Marionette lines
The 3D Face Define treatment results in an enhanced natural-looking appearance. A patient does not have to worry about drastic changes in contour and shape.
During treatment, topical anaesthetic will be applied on the areas. Volumising hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are then injected in small amounts into the face, strategically.
As a post-treatment measure, a patient is advised to:
• Not touch or rub the treated areas
• Keep the treated areas clean and dry
• Avoid excessive sweating
• Avoid going for facial treatments for up to two weeks
The doctor will further advise you on other measures.
Minimal bruising is to be expected but this should subside after a couple of days.
Only doctors should and can perform injectables. Dr. Ivan Puah, Medical Director Amaris B. Clinic, has a Graduate Diploma in Family Dermatology.
