What are some of the most common aesthetic treatments for women?

Most women in their 20s who visit Amaris B. Clinic come in to treat acne or acne scarring with fillers, or to have b*tulinum toxin injections or skin hydration treatments.

Women in their 30s or 40s usually seek anti-ageing procedures that help reduce excess pigmentation, b*tulinum toxin, fillers, facelifts or collagen stimulation ultrasound treatments such as Ultherapy.

What is a suitable age to undergo B*tulinum Toxin injections?

There isn’t a specific age, as these injections may help address various skin-related concerns that women in different age groups face.

For example, if suitable, the injections may be used with the aim of wrinkle reduction or jaw slimming. However, it may also assist with problems like bruxism – habitual grinding of the teeth during sleep. In addition, it can treat severe primary axillary hyperhidrosis – excessive sweating in the palms, soles, face, scalp or in the underarms.

I’m not comfortable going under the knife for a facelift. Are there any alternatives?

Consider the FDA-approved Ultherapy.

This treatment doesn’t require surgery. Instead, it uses ultrasound waves, delivered via a wand held over the top of the skin, which bypasses the skin’s surface to deliver the energy at a depth and temperature that’s deemed suitable. This energy is designed to trigger a regenerative process that stimulates the production of new collagen.

Ultherapy is said to improve skin from the inside out, and is typically applied to the face, neck and chest areas.

Is liposuction too dangerous for women in their 50s or 60s?

You first need to be assessed by a medical expert, but you can usually undergo liposuction as long as you are healthy and have no medical risks.

At Amaris B. Clinic, we use Vaser Liposuction (VASERlipo), which is minimally invasive as compared to traditional liposuction.

This procedure is used to reduce excess fat in areas such as the abdomen, hips, thighs, arms, back, knees, neck and chin. VASER Liposuction is more able to target only fat tissues, reducing damage to other tissues.
