Dr Ivan Puah graduated with an M.B.B.S from National University of Singapore. He spent years in the hospital doing his medical postings; his attachment to IMH has given him a wide exposure to the different types of patients suffering from eating disorder, such as bulimia, anorexia and body dysmorphic syndrome. During his training at National Skin Centre, Dr Puah treated patients with different types of skin problems. His interest and passion in dermatology drove him to further his studies in this field whereby he obtained his Diploma in Dermatology from NUS, Singapore.

Dr Ivan Puah hope to pioneer a trend in which newer, but less invasive cosmetic surgery treatment can be made available to a wider group of patients to improve their physical appearance and boost their self-confidence.  He believes in "perfecting the imperfections", and this belief has never wavered since the day he started his practice in aesthetic medicine and cosmetic surgery.  Dr Puah constantly attends courses & conferences abroad in the hope of bringing in the latest medical and surgical treatment, which allows patients to achieve the desired aesthetic results with as little downtime as possible and that includes offering Smartlipo (laserlipolysis) in 2005 and LipoSelection® only by VASER® in Singapore beginning of year 2006 when they first launched.

Trained in laserlipolysis in Milan, Italy and Vaser Liposelection Fat Reduction technique from the Vaser Institute at Denver, Colorado (USA), Dr Ivan Puah excels in the arena of fat reduction. He was trained by Columbian plastic surgeon, Dr Alfredo Hoyos, who pioneered the Vaser-Assisted High Definition Liposculpture (VAHDL), the revolutionary body contouring technique to help create a sleeker and ultra-smooth body contour. Dr Puah has the privilege of being personally trained by French renowned plastic surgeon, Dr. Pierre Francois Fournier, founder of Liposculpture as well. As an International Member of American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (A.C.C.S) and Member of Society of Aesthetic Medicine Singapore, Dr Puah is constantly updated on the latest happenings in the cosmetic surgery and aesthetic medicine.

Dr Puah is well known for being a good listener and caring approach to his patients. He has excellent bedside manners and is known to his patients as a friendly and humble doctor.
